ABOUT Amy Edge . . .
It is said, “we don’t choose the moment, the moment chooses us.” Our only option is whether we will be prepared when the moment finds us. -Amy Edge
It takes strong leadership to bring calm, order from disorder, and effective recovery efforts to communities overcoming devastating disasters. Amy Edge knows exactly what it takes for a business to not only anticipate and survive devastating storms, such as Hurricane Katrina, Sandy, and Irene, but also help organizations and people overcome and even prosper in the face of them. She gained this experience by building a profitable company that focused on taking the “disaster” out of disaster recovery.
Driven by her passion for people, Ms. Edge co-founded Recovery Logistics, LLC (RLI). With Amy as CEO, RLI secured the National Disaster Recovery Contract for the largest cellular carrier in the world and grew to become the nationwide leader in business continuity and disaster recovery services. RLI’s Hurricane Sandy recovery effort set “the standard by which all other communication recoveries were measured.”
During Ms. Edge’s tenure as CEO, she collaborated with top executives at Fortune 500 companies, including AT&T and Duke Energy, to pre-plan their storm recovery efforts. During major deployments, she led the staging operations and tracked millions of dollars in assert and thousands of men in the field. Amy interfaced with corporate executives, government agencies, first responders and field engineers to establish seamless work flow processes during their network recoveries over multi-state regions in the U.S. When RLI reached its income growth projections, Amy capitalized on an opportunity to sell RLI in 2014.
Now, Amy brings her unprecedented experience in leadership management and her passion for people to organizations where she shapes future leadership talent to optimize their business opportunities. Through her lessons learned, Amy guides management teams to plan, prepare, overcome obstacles and build winning teams, even in the face of seemly impossible challenges.
