Ruth Drum Outstanding Membership Award

ELIGIBILITY – THE NOMINEE SHOULD BE A CURRENT MEMBER OF WBON AND HAS BEEN FOR A MINIMIUM OF 3 YEARS. The nominee must have demonstrated enthusiasm and outstanding dedication to WBON’s mission to inspire, educate and empower women to make, a positive impact in their lives and businesses for the future.

In addition, the nominee has demonstrated accomplishments in the following areas:

  • Member must contribute significantly in the growth of the WBON membership and act as an ambassador to recruit new members.
  • Member must participation in monthly, quarterly and twice a year large fundraising events and must make a substantial contribution giving their time, talent and dedication in support of the organization.
  • Member must contribute to the mission and values of WBON.
  • Member must be an ambassador in the community and actively contribute to the higher good of other organizations and give back to   other civic groups.
  • WBON Membership must be in good standing and all membership dues paid.
  • Member must have either served as a current, past board or committee member for WBON.
  • Member must be a current or past women’s business owner defined as a 51% owner or more.
  • Member must be a current or past business owner in either Wake, Orange or Durham Counties of North Carolina.

Nomination Process:

The nominee application must be completed and submitted by midnight August 1st each year to the email President@WBONofthetriangle.

  • Application must be submitted with all information completed.
  • Nominees may nominate themselves or may be nominated by a current WBON member.
  • All nominee applications for the “Ruth Drum Award” will be reviewed and voted on by the current board of directors and awarded in the Sept monthly meeting.
  • A Plaque will be awarded to the winner yearly.
